Intro to Pottery

Description
Designed to cater to both beginner and experienced students, this class will help develop your skills for centering, throwing and trimming on the potter's wheel. Students also learn how to glaze their work.

What you'll learn
Throw multiple pieces
You'll spend each class at the wheel building and refining multiple pieces — bowls, cylinders, vases — developing muscle memory and consistency with every session.
Master the fundamentals
Learn to properly center, open, pull and trim your clay. Your instructor will guide your technique and help you correct common mistakes so you progress with confidence.
Glaze and fire your work
All clay, tools, and glazing materials are provided. Your pieces are kiln fired by the studio — once ready we'll be in touch to arrange pickup.

All levels welcome
No experience needed. Each class is designed to meet you where you are.
Everything is provided
Clay, tools, and glazing materials are all included. Just bring yourself.
What to wear
Clay may get on you, so dress accordingly. Closed-toe shoes are required for safety.
8 weeks · One session per week
Classes run for 8 consecutive weeks. Week 7 is kiln firing — no class that week.
Your pieces are fired for you
The studio handles all kiln firing. Once your pieces are ready we'll be in touch to arrange a pickup time.

Cancellation policy
Cancellation windows are calculated from the start date.
Full refund
Cancel more than 2 weeks before the class starts and receive a full refund, minus a $20 admin fee.
Class credit
Cancel between 2 weeks and 4 days before the class starts and receive a credit toward a future class. No cash refund.
No refund or credit
Cancellations within 4 days of the class start date are not eligible for a refund or credit.
